"A year from now you will wish you'd started
today."
"The only way you can fail is if you quit!"
"Don't trade what you want most for what
you want right now."
"That last bite tastes the same as the
first."
"Never skip a weigh in just because you're
afraid that you've gained."
"You won't feel motivated all the time.
No one does. That's when you CHOOSE to say you will follow the plan. Or not. It's about choice, not motivation."
"If you want motivation, get naked
and look at yourself in a full length mirror...like what you see?!"
If you've fought the battle of the bulge, then you know that
motivation to stay on program is huge. Finding that motivation is so hard. We talk about it all the time. I believe it is
akin to searching for the Holy Grail. Motivation is tricky. What works for one doesn't work for all and what works for you
one week, may not work the next. The best idea I've heard about finding the motivation to stick to the program is to forget
about it. Someone asked, "Do you need motivation to brush your teeth or take a shower everyday?" No. You just do it, whether
you are tired, sick, on vacation, or celebrating a special occasion. You don't need motivation to take care of yourself in
that way and it should be the same for eating healthy and exercise. We should do it because it's part of what keeps us fit
and in good health. So, maybe Nike's had it right all these years..."Just Do It!"
